What should I change my nickname to and how do I go about doing it?

Catrina, Kitty, Cate . Unless you want to change it to Bob or something else totally unrelated to Catherine, just start calling yourself by the new name, signing you name that way etc. People will figure it out. People you know really well you should tell them though. It will take a while but it should catch on.
