Have you ever had someone bring you into a story, just so they could try to save themselves?

My friend stole a girls mp3 player..well my friend is really stupid and was showing the girl she stole it from that she got an mp3 player. Now the player was very generic and the girl she stole it from listened to it and they were the exact songs on hers and radio recording (hers had gone missing, but she thought it just got buried somewhere.) Then the girl confronts her about it, and my friend told her that I gave her the mp3 player. Thankfully the girl didn't believe it..But gahhh I hate it when people bring you into stuff. Seriously don't even try bringing me into this. I confronted my friend about it and she preceded to lie to me, but she had the guilt written all over her face.
