Is it just me or has The Simpsons gone to ****?

Ok so earlier I just watched a relatively new episode of The Simpsons and my god, is it just me or is that show gone to absolute crap?WTF happened to it. I mean as a child of the 90's I grew up on The Simpsons and thought it was hilarious but my god how it has changed. Its like the characters are completely different and Homer is just a shell of what he once was. Where the hell did the humor, wit and intelligence of this show gone. Whats worse however is when I mentioned this to a friend recently he actually says he enjoys the new episodes. Is the whole world gone insane?The characters are only shells of what they once were, doing and saying things that they never would say. I know people say things change but for gods sake if thats change you can go blow it out your *** as far as i'm concerned. Its an insult to the entire show and for what it once stood for. Either get back the old writers, like Conan O'Brien and the people who wrote the best episodes or else just close the dam thing down and end the show. What do you guys think? I mean I know a lot of you will say 'well just watch Family Guy' but i'm sorry because 1-Even though I love that show it will never beat the old Simpsons and 2-THAT SHOW IS GETTING CRAP LATELY TOO!!!!WTF????
